Morning All

Please see the teams for the weekend below. We had a few available and only 2 games this week, so thanks for your availability. Ground is being done by everyone.

A couple of other things:

We are still in need of a volunteer to do a tea on Saturday

We have a tea person (Jacko) for the rest of the season, so help this weekend would be much appreciated.

Don’t forget it is the start of season party on Saturday night, so pack your dancing shoes as well as your cricket kit.

Any problems, let one of the Match Managers know.

Cheers and see you Saturday. (Click the link to see the full selection details) Read the rest of this entry »

Following the success of the recent indoor ‘Shaping & Grooving’ coaching at Fitzharrys school, this season’s Junior outdoor coaching will begin on the following dates:-

  • U10/11 – Saturday 18th April 9.15am – 11.15am & every Saturday morning thereafter (weather permitting!)
  • U13/15 – Thursday 23rd April 6pm (6.15pm start) – 8pm (ish) & every Thursday evening thereafter (weather permitting!)

Please remember to fill in a membership form & return it to myself or your age group Manager with £35 payment.  Forms are available at the coaching sessions.

If you are playing hard ball cricket (U11 upwards) you must bring a box/protector & wear cricket support underwear (jockstrap with pouch!).  Don’t forget your water bottle!

KAFF’S CAFF will be open on Saturday mornings for breakfast, tea & coffee etc!  For those of you yet to sample this culinary delight, you are in for a life changing experience!  Salad dodgers welcome!

See you there!

Welcome to the 2009 season! (almost!) The cricket is starting in just under a couple of weeks now – the first matches are scheduled for the 18th of April with the League Cup starting on that Saturday.

Please make your availability known to either Mikey Cook or Ed Tilley before Tuesday 14th April if you are available to play on that date and/or the first Sunday fixture on the 19th.

Also, coming up soon we have the Start of Season Party on the 25th April at the clubhouse after the fixtures that day, followed by another AVCC Whisky Tasting on Friday 1st May at 7:30pm. If you want tickets to the whisky tasting, please email Graeme for a ticket (cost is £15 – first come first served – currently tickets are still available!).

For the observant among you, you will notice that the website has been changed slightly – though we’re still in the process of getting content copied over, so bear with us for the next few weeks!
