Ground and Duties
The work put in by members in repairing and maintaining the ground and facilities is vital in allowing the club to be ready to play cricket. Your help is much appreciated in out-of-season work and work on the pitches and maintenance of the ground and pavilion during the season.
We are now fortunate to have the services of a Professional Groundsman to help prepare pitches. However, they will be doing only the skilled element of the work – we still need members to volunteer to carry out other groundwork including the rolling of pitches. The work is simple to do, and training will be provided – if you can spare some time to help.
- Match day duties: The facilities are a reflection on the club – this document details the tasks that should be performed on the day of a match to be ready for play (this is now much simplified with the new arrangement with groundsmen, but it is important these remaining tasks are done!).
